5 SIMPLE WAYS TO BURN MORE CALORIES

Exercise
I’m sure you could have guessed this one. When you exercise, your body burns calories to fuel your activity. But exercise is the gift that keeps on giving. That’s because even after your workout has ended, your body is still burning more calories. Use the drop down options on this link to try the consistently updated workouts I’ve been doing since 2015.

Do Strength Training to Build Muscle
Exercise uses muscle. Building muscle mass and muscle tissue you burn more calories. As you age, your metabolism slows down and strength training becomes especially important. One way to stop this is to add strength training to your workout routine at least twice a week. The largest muscles (and therefore the largest calorie burners) are the thighs, abdomen, chest, and arms.

Eat Smaller, More Frequent Meals
This helps with binge eating. Every time you eat, you switch on your gastrointestinal tract to help digest food and absorb nutrients. This causes you to burn more calories more frequently. Meaning, the more small meals or snacks you eat throughout the day, the more calories you burn.

Don’t Skip Breakfast
Evidence supporting a link between skipping breakfast and increased body weight is growing. Research has shown that people who skip breakfast, tend to eat more calories towards the end of the day.

Drink 8 Cups of Water a Day
Drinking almost eight cups of water (2 liters) may help burn nearly 100 extra calories a day, according to findings of a small study from Germany.
