You have heard of the 80/20 rule, right?
➡️20% of what you do results in 80% of your outcome.
If I’m being honest, I have spent a lot of time starting something and not finishing, having to go back to it, and a lot of time is wasted!
Some of that I tend to blame on Stroke Recovery, but some of that other Women seem to be experiencing this with changing Hormones. Whether that is due to Postnatal or Perimenopausal transitions, or maybe it is simply aging? I don’t know.
What I do know is that I need to revisit the tools to help me focus on purposely prioritizing the actions that result in productivity.
Reviewing the 80/20 rule will hopefully help me do that:
I have always loved the concept of working smarter and not harder and being intentional with this concept can help you stay focused on what you need to do.
Want to give it a try?
1. List out your daily or weekly tasks
2. Prioritize the most important tasks
3. Determine which tasks give you the most return
4. Remove tasks that give less return
5. Make a plan & create action items
Do you use this rule? Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
