How do you wake up in the morning? Energetic + ready to take on the day, or wish you were back in bed? It’s ok if it switches from day to day, no judgment here! Morning routines look different for everyone, but the key is to create one that works for you AND that you can stick with each day. Routines can set the tone for the day & help you be in control of your schedule vs having your schedule control you.
When creating a routine, it’s a good idea to leave out things like hitting the snooze button, checking your phone or skipping breakfast. When you have a solid routine, it’s easier to avoid bad habits. Your productivity is also much higher, since you are in the right mindset. Routines create balance & structure, and can result in lower stress.
If you don’t have a routine yet, start tomorrow. Write down a small list of things you’d like to accomplish when you wake up. It will take time to get into a good groove and see what works, but the most important thing is to simply start! Once you master your morning, you can move onto other areas of your life that you want to improve!
